COOINDA Waratah Wing (Previously known as the Hostel)
Established in 1977, Cooinda Hostel has provided a ‘home away from home’ for hundreds of residents over the past 40 years. It assists residents to live a fulfilling life by providing personal care 24 hours a day but also promoting independence and choice. A Registered Nurse is available for consultation as well. Access to Respite Care Services is also available.
Cooinda Hostel comprises 37 rooms, each with ensuite, electric bed, heating/cooling and built-in robe with dressing table. Shared facilities include a large lounge area with large screen TV, a second lounge with TV, a large dining area and a large sunroom, all with heating/cooling. Residents have access to the activities area and an outdoor paved area with raised gardens and BBQ area. All areas are wheelchair accessible and well-maintained.
